Continuing Education Series

Advancing Peripheral Embolization with LAVA Liquid Embolic System. September 29, 2026 | 7:00–8:10 PM ET. This clinically focused continuing education webinar features Alexander Misono, MD, MBA, RPVI, Chief of Interventional Radiology at Hoag Health, Medical Director of Vascular Ultrasound, and a vascular and interventional radiologist with Newport Harbor Radiology Associates in Newport Beach, California. During this program, Dr. Misono will examine the role of liquid embolic agents in the management of peripheral arterial hemorrhage and discuss the clinical and procedural considerations that can guide the selection and use of the LAVA Liquid Embolic System in peripheral embolization procedures. Through practical clinical examples, participants will explore embolization strategies involving patient and device selection, procedural preparation, delivery techniques, and other important considerations for achieving effective treatment. The program will conclude with a question-and-answer session, providing participants with an opportunity to further discuss the application of liquid embolic technology in clinical practice. This educational webinar is provided by the Association of Vascular and Interventional Radiographers (AVIR) and sponsored by Sirtex Medical.
