The AVIR Brainwork Series

TRUFILL™ n-BCA for AVM & cSDH: Real Cases, Real Techniques - Presented by Jesse Jones, MD

In this focused, clinically driven session, participants will explore the use of the TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System in the treatment of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and chronic subdural hematoma (cSDH). The webinar will emphasize real-world applications, including middle meningeal artery (MMA) embolization, supported by practical case examples and procedural insights.

Join Jesse Jones, MD, for an expert discussion on the TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System, highlighting its role in MMA embolization for chronic subdural hematoma and applications in cerebral arteriovenous malformations. Through anatomy review, treatment strategy, and live case insights, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the advantages of liquid embolics, including distal penetration, procedural control, and support for targeted embolization, along with practical guidance for radiologic technologists from a physician’s perspective.

This session is designed for clinicians and industry professionals seeking a comprehensive understanding of liquid embolic applications in AVM and cSDH treatment, with a focus on TRUFILL™ n-BCA. Advancing neurointerventional care through real-world techniques, case-based learning, and expert insights.

Jesse Jones, MD

Jesse Jones, MD, is an interventional neuroradiologist in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), specializing in the treatment of cerebral and spinal vascular diseases in both adult and pediatric populations. He completed his medical degree at The Chicago Medical School, followed by internship and neurosurgical training at LAC+USC Medical Center, and residency in diagnostic radiology at UCLA. Dr. Jones further advanced his expertise through fellowships in neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology at both LAC+USC and UCLA.

His clinical and research interests focus on cerebrovascular conditions, including brain arteriovenous malformations, aneurysms, stroke, and dural fistulas, as well as biomedical device development. He has received multiple research grants, including support from the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, Radiological Society of North America, and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

Dr. Jones is an active member of several leading professional organizations, including the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Radiological Society of North America, and the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons.

Objectives:

  • Review the clinical applications of the TRUFILL™ n-BCA Liquid Embolic System in the treatment of AVMs and chronic subdural hematoma, including its role in MMA embolization
  • Understand key procedural strategies, vascular anatomy considerations, and case-based techniques to optimize embolization outcomes using liquid embolics
  • Identify the advantages of TRUFILL™ n-BCA, including distal penetration, procedural control, and precision in targeted embolization, along with practical insights relevant to radiologic technologists
